Whether that is from you or that is from some venture capitalists make sure that you are spending it wisely in the areas where you are going to make the most money that you can. Also make sure that if it is from an investor that you have it all figured out in writing before you move forward.
If you have business partners make sure they are on board. Look at their track record and see if they are going to provide value to your business or just become an annoyance that gets paid money you made.
Next I would consider your own personal feelings and what you want out of your business. You need to make sure that by leaving this job and starting a business that you are going to be happier and passionate about it. You will then have a requirement to your customers to provide them with value and that only happens if you are passionate about it.
